Treat yourself to a piece of Canadian history with an original soapstone carving from the great Canadian North. All of our carvings come with the Igloo Tag issued by the Government of Canada which certifies its authenticity. Please note that the generic term "soapstone" is commonly used, but this is a bit misleading. Soapstone, a soft talc steatite, is not used nearly as much as the harder serpentine, argillite, dolomite, quartz, and other types. All our carvings are of the harder variety of stone and not the talc type.
